Dr. Tracey A. Banks embarking on a new chapter by transitioning into semi-retirement in 2024

September 1, 2023

Dear Valued Patients,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It is with mixed emotions that I write to you today to share some important news regarding my medical practice. After over 24 years of practicing as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I have come to a point in my career where I will be embarking on a new chapter by transitioning into semi-retirement.

First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for allowing me to be a part of your healthcare journey over the years. It has been an honor and privilege to provide you with the medical care and support you deserve. The relationships I have built with each one of you hold a special place in my heart, and I will forever cherish the memories we’ve created together.

This decision was not made lightly, as my dedication to your well-being has always been my top priority. I believe that this transition will allow me to strike a balance between enjoying some well-deserved personal time and continuing to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. I want to assure you that while my role will evolve, my commitment to your health and wellness remains unwavering.

During this period of transition, I am pleased to announce that my esteemed colleague, Dr. Hannah Ashitey who is joining our practice in September, will be stepping in to care for your medical needs. Please see a copy of her bio. She brings with her a compassionate approach that aligns with the values of our practice. I have the utmost confidence in her abilities to provide you with the same level of care and attention that you have come to expect. I will be available to provide her with any support she needs. Further, my long-term colleagues, Drs. Lori Halderman, Christi Kidd, Michon McCloud, and Labeena Wajahat are also available for you.

Starting January 2, 2024, any appointments that you have with me will be transferred to Dr. Ashitey. You can schedule your appointments with any of my colleagues by calling our office at 972-542-8884. Your care will continue seamlessly, ensuring a smooth continuation of your healthcare journey.

While I will be reducing my clinic hours, I am not disappearing entirely. I plan to remain involved in a limited capacity, conducting periodic consultations and continuing to contribute to the practice’s overall mission. I am looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with you during these visits and hear about the wonderful milestones and achievements in your lives.

Thank you once again for entrusting me with your healthcare for all these years. It has truly been an honor to serve as your physician. I am excited to embark on this new journey and look forward to staying connected with you in the years to come.

Wishing you continued health and happiness,

Tracey A. Banks
