Telemedicine appointments now available at Adriatica Women’s Health.

Our top priority at Adriatica Women’s Health is the health and safety of our patients, our staff and the communities we all share.

We have an alternative appointment option we can offer to help with current social distancing recommendations related to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

Instead of an in-office appointment for the provider to address your concern, we are now scheduling virtual visits where the provider will connect with you through audio and video on your computer or smart device, like a smartphone or tablet. This service will be billed to your insurance company at the completion of care and you would be responsible for your co-pay as normal.

Not all visits are eligible for telemedicine. If you are interested or would like to schedule a telemedicine visit, please call us at 972-542-8884 or email us at telemedicine@adriaticawomenshealth.com.

For patients whose appointment requires an in-office visit, be assured that we are taking extra measures and precautions to keep you and your family safe and healthy. You can read more about those safety measures here.

FAQs About Telemedicine

How can I connect with a provider?

You can use your camera enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone from the comfort of your home. You will be sent a link to log in to a secure, HIPAA compliant platform to connect with your provider.

What if I need a prescription?

If you need a prescription, the provider can call it in to the pharmacy of your choice.

What kinds of medical issues can a telemedicine visit help with?

We are offering telemedicine for a variety of gynecological appointments, such as Follow up Visits, Medication Management, Review Treatment Plan, Surgical consults, Urinary symptoms, Vaginitis, PMS, Menopause concerns, Heavy menses, Infertility, Contraceptive care just to name a few.  Telemedicine is not available for annual visits or emergency care.

What if I am seen on telemedicine and need to come in?

If you are seen on telemedicine and the provider determines you need to come into our clinic, instead the telemedicine fee will be waived, and you will be charged for only an in-office visit billed to your insurance as usual.

How will I be billed for my telemedicine visit?

In response to COVID-19, health insurances are changing policies for telemedicine coverage.  Depending on how your insurance company covers telemedicine visits, your cost may be similar to an in-office visit. Your insurance carrier will make this determination.  Please call our clinic if you have any questions.

If you are interested in scheduling a telemedicine visit, or to learn more, you can send a portal message, call our office or send an email to: telemedicine@adriaticawomenshealth.com
